>A FARMERS LIFE FOR ME
Principal Design worked with Splash Media on their new programme 'A Farmer's Life for Me', this included work both in front and behind the camera.
This branding work presented here was produced prior to filming the 3rd Episode with was first broadcast on the 15th February 2011 at 8pm on BBC 2.
The brief from Splash Media was to take the couples sketches for their Farm logos and turn them into tidy workable icons that the all graphic designers could use on the day of filming, these were to be monotone logos. To see the larger images just click on the image of your choice.
Principal Design wanted to make a good job of this and produced the finished icons in a way that they could be worked into at a later stage in the process. This allowed all the designers involved to start of with the same standard of image and also gave freedom to them to work on the images to add colour, etc.
This was quite a tricky brief as we were not allowed any contact with the couples to talk over their ideas and this is not how we would normally work, all we had to work with was their sketches with no idea on preferred fonts and casing etc. As with these shows there were also time constraints and we were only given 24 hours to turn them all round! However, there is nothing like a tight deadline to set the designers pulse racing and we thrive on it here at Principal Design.
